This year we are stepping out so that refugee children in East Africa can step into education. Sadly, thousands of children arrive in refugee camps in East Africa every year, fleeing conflict and disaster. We can help by supporting them to access education while they’re in the refugee camps. Education is a powerful way to change the future for refugee children and it is a gift that cannot be taken away.

Walk My Way gives you the chance to join with friends in a walking challenge - and raise money to help refugee children in East Africa go to school, at the same time!  Each $26 you raise can help a refugee child go to school for a whole year!  Organised by ALWS (Australian Lutheran World Service), the Lutheran church’s aid and development agency, your Walk shows the wider community our church’s love in action. Since 2019 Walk My Way has helped more than 62,500 refugee children go to school!  Read about how the Lutheran family through ALWS is already impacting lives here.
